“Our transition to B20 has been seamless. If you’re considering going to B20 I suggest that you have your vehicles’ fuel tanks tested ahead of time for water, algae and dirt. We made sure our tanks were clean before we switched to B20. We also bought fuel filters ahead of time to make sure we’d have some on hand just in case we needed them. We haven’t had problems with filters clogging or any other issues.”

“The main reason we were committed to using B99 was to be less dependent on foreign oil. The environment is pretty important to us, too, and we say the greener the better. We’ve been using a fuel additive the past four years that cleans our tanks so we weren’t worried about B99’s solvent effects. Just remember to keep water out of your tanks. Fleet managers need to know that when you use B99, your relationship with your fuel distributor is as important as with your banker.”

"In 2004 we were looking for ways to reduce the environmental impact of our business operations. One of the things we looked at was using biodiesel.  We began using biodiesel in our fleet in December of 2004. With a short transition time to B20 the process was very seamless. We have experienced very few fuel related problems of any kind. We have not experienced any increased maintenance cost in fuel pumps or injectors.

We run B20 in a wide variety of diesel engines from our over the road truck fleet to construction equipment and all of the engines run fine with out any modifications. There are a couple of things to be aware of, such as a higher gel point and the better cleaning properties of biodiesel, however these are easily managed with normal fleet maintenance. We are very satisfied with results of using B20. An additional benefit has been a very positive customer and community response for our commitment to using biodiesel in our fleet."
